American Weekend Entertainment, Inc. (“AWE,” “Music Daily,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to transparency about how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information.

AWE owns and operates Music Daily and MusicDaily.com.

This Privacy Policy applies to MusicDaily.com, Music Daily editorial content, newsletters, forms, advertising, promotions, communications, and other websites, content, features, and services operated by AWE or Music Daily (collectively, the “Music Daily Services”).

Certain artist pages and associated fan experiences made available through MusicDaily.com are operated and managed by Signl Networks, Inc. (“Signl”). Although those experiences may appear within the MusicDaily.com domain and include Music Daily branding, personal information collected through Signl-operated artist and fan functionality is governed by the Signl Networks, Inc. Privacy Policy, as described further in Section 10 below.


1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information You Provide

Depending on how you interact with the Music Daily Services, we may collect information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Identity Information: Name, age, or date of birth when required.

  • Contact Information: Email address and mobile telephone number.

  • Location Information: ZIP code, city, state, country, or other general location information.

  • Preferences and Interests: Music preferences, artist interests, content preferences, and related information.

  • Interactive Content: Responses to surveys, contests, sweepstakes, promotions, polls, forms, or similar experiences.

  • Communications: Messages, requests, submissions, feedback, or other communications you send to Music Daily.

  • Newsletter and Registration Information: Information you submit when subscribing to a Music Daily newsletter, registering for an AWE/Music Daily-operated experience, or completing a form.

We ask that you not provide sensitive personal information unless specifically requested and reasonably necessary for the applicable Music Daily Service.

Information Collected Automatically

When you access or use the Music Daily Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, and similar technical information.

  • Network and Online Identifiers: IP address, cookie identifiers, device identifiers, and similar identifiers.

  • Approximate Location: General geographic location inferred from an IP address or similar information.

  • Engagement Information: Interactions with articles, videos, advertisements, newsletters, forms, promotions, and other content.

2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

  • Provide the Music Daily Services: Operate, maintain, administer, and improve MusicDaily.com and related services.

  • Deliver Editorial Content: Provide articles, interviews, videos, artist coverage, music discovery, and other editorial content.

  • Personalize Experiences: Tailor content, recommendations, promotions, and other experiences.

  • Communicate With You: Send newsletters, service notices, confirmations, responses, administrative messages, and other communications.

  • Marketing and Promotions: Subject to applicable law and your choices, provide news, offers, promotions, events, sponsored content, and other marketing communications.

  • Administer Promotions: Operate contests, sweepstakes, surveys, polls, promotions, and similar Music Daily experiences.

  • Advertising and Sponsorship: Deliver, administer, measure, and improve advertising, branded content, sponsorships, and promotional campaigns.

  • Analytics and Measurement: Understand audience engagement, traffic, referrals, content performance, advertising effectiveness, and trends.

  • Improve Our Services: Develop and improve Music Daily content, features, audience experiences, and business operations.

  • Security: Detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical problems.

  • Legal and Compliance Purposes: Comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests, enforce our agreements and policies, and protect our rights and the rights of others.

We may also use information for other purposes disclosed when the information is collected or with your consent.


3. AGGREGATED AND DE-IDENTIFIED INFORMATION

We may aggregate, anonymize, or de-identify information so that it does not reasonably identify an individual.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information for purposes including:

  • audience measurement;

  • content performance;

  • advertising and sponsorship reporting;

  • market and audience insights;

  • business planning;

  • research;

  • product and service development; and

  • improving Music Daily.

Where required by applicable law, we will maintain and use de-identified information in de-identified form and will not attempt to re-identify it except as permitted by law.


4. HOW WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

Certain disclosures involving cookies, online identifiers, advertising technologies, or analytics may nevertheless be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or processing for “targeted advertising” under certain U.S. state privacy laws.

Service Providers

We may disclose information to service providers that assist us with website hosting, content delivery, email, analytics, advertising technology, data storage, security, promotions, and operation of the Music Daily Services.

These providers process information subject to contractual and legal obligations appropriate to the services they perform.

Advertising, Analytics, and Measurement Providers

We may work with advertising, analytics, measurement, and technology providers to understand use of Music Daily, measure content and campaign effectiveness, deliver or measure advertising, and improve the Music Daily Services.

Depending on the technology and applicable law, disclosures of online identifiers or activity information to these providers may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or processing for “targeted advertising.”

Where required by applicable law, we provide mechanisms to opt out of these activities.

Sponsors and Promotional Partners

When you intentionally participate in a sponsored promotion, contest, sweepstakes, or other partner experience, we may disclose information to the sponsor or promotional partner where that disclosure is identified to you, reasonably necessary to provide the experience, otherwise permitted by law, or made with your consent.

Signl

AWE may work with Signl in connection with Music Daily artist pages, editorial amplification, sponsorships, promotions, and other activities.

Personal information collected directly through Signl-operated artist pages and fan functionality is handled as described in Section 10 and Signl’s Privacy Policy.

Where AWE and Signl separately exchange information for another permitted business purpose, each company will handle such information in accordance with applicable agreements, disclosures, privacy policies, and law.

Legal and Safety Reasons

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process, court order, subpoena, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, safety, and security of AWE, Music Daily, our users, or others.

Business Transactions

Information may be transferred or disclosed in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, asset sale, bankruptcy, or similar corporate transaction.

With Your Direction or Consent

We may disclose information when you direct or authorize us to do so.


5. EMAIL AND OTHER COMMUNICATIONS

Email

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link contained in the applicable email.

Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not necessarily prevent us from sending transactional, administrative, security, or service-related communications where appropriate.

Text Messaging

If Music Daily offers an SMS or MMS program, any applicable opt-in disclosure and terms will be presented when you enroll.

Text messaging provided through a Signl-operated artist or fan experience is governed by Signl’s applicable disclosures and SMS Terms & Conditions.


6. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to:

  • operate MusicDaily.com;

  • remember preferences;

  • understand audience engagement;

  • measure traffic and content performance;

  • administer and measure advertising and sponsorships;

  • improve functionality; and

  • support advertising and promotional activities.

Where required by applicable law, you may control certain technologies through our Cookie Settings or another privacy-choice mechanism.

You may also configure your browser to reject certain cookies, although doing so may affect portions of the Music Daily Services.


7. DATA SECURITY AND RETENTION

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Music Daily Services, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal and contractual obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect legitimate business interests.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.

When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, anonymize, de-identify, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with applicable law.


8. CHILDREN’S AND TEENS’ PRIVACY

The Music Daily Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without legally required parental consent.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 in a manner not permitted by law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Certain contests, promotions, communications programs, or other Music Daily Services may impose a higher minimum age. Those requirements will be disclosed where applicable.

We will comply with additional consent and privacy requirements applicable to minors where required by law.

Where applicable law provides such rights, you may have the right to limit or opt out of certain processing of sensitive personal information or to provide consent before certain sensitive information is processed.

AWE does not intend to collect or use sensitive personal information for purposes of inferring characteristics about individuals except as disclosed and permitted by applicable law.

We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising rights provided by applicable privacy law.

10. SIGNL-OPERATED ARTIST PAGES AND FAN EXPERIENCES

All artist pages and associated fan experiences made available through artist-specific areas, URLs, or subdomains of MusicDaily.com are operated and managed by Signl Networks, Inc.

Although these artist pages are presented within the MusicDaily.com domain and may include Music Daily branding, Signl operates and manages the underlying artist and fan functionality.

Signl-operated functionality may include:

  • fan registration and data capture;

  • artist fan communities;

  • customer relationship management functionality;

  • fan communications;

  • email and SMS programs;

  • fan rewards and offers;

  • sponsorship and campaign experiences;

  • analytics, attribution, and measurement; and

  • other Signl-powered artist and fan features.

Personal information submitted through Signl-operated registration forms, artist pages, fan experiences, CRM functionality, campaigns, or other Signl-powered functionality is processed by Signl in accordance with the Signl Networks, Inc. Privacy Policy and applicable notices presented when information is collected.

The presence of a Signl-operated artist page within the MusicDaily.com domain does not, by itself, mean that AWE or Music Daily collects or controls personal information submitted through Signl-operated functionality.

AWE/Music Daily may provide editorial content, artist coverage, promotion, advertising, sponsorship support, social distribution, links, branding, and other media or audience-amplification services in connection with those artist pages.

Information collected separately through AWE/Music Daily-operated functionality remains subject to this Privacy Policy.


11. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES

The Music Daily Services may contain links to social media platforms, streaming services, ticketing providers, merchandise providers, artist websites, and other third-party websites or services.

AWE does not control the privacy practices of independent third parties.

Information you provide directly to a third party is governed by that party’s privacy policy and practices. We encourage you to review those policies before providing personal information.


12. INTERNATIONAL USERS

AWE is based in the United States, and information collected through the Music Daily Services may be processed, transferred, or stored in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

Privacy and data protection laws in those jurisdictions may differ from those in your country of residence.

Where applicable law requires additional safeguards or provides additional rights regarding international transfers or processing, we will take appropriate measures as required by law.


13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in the Music Daily Services, technologies, business practices, or legal requirements.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.

Gene’s experience brings an eclectic musical and production background to AWE. He trained as a classical musician and singer at the Manhattan School of Music, sang baritone with the New York City Opera, and later became a producer, composer and arranger for Atlantic Records.

Beginning in 1985, Gene owned and operated several production houses catering to major advertising and corporate clients. His musical training and experience has provided him with a finely tuned ear and great directorial expertise, which is reflected in his craftsmanship. Gene has a recognized style featuring strong creativity, high energy, and an emphasis on intricate production techniques.

Mel is an accomplished media entertainment executive with over twenty five years experience in multimedia sales, management, production and distribution for both large scale companies as well as start up environments.

A strong hands-on professional, he has developed and activated marketing programs for many fortune 500 brands including Microsoft, Mercedes, L’Oreal, Hennessy, Citi, and Kraft while at companies like CBS Interactive Music, Clear Channel Interactive, National Lampoon, Tribune and iHeart Radio.
